What asbestos removal requires
Asbestos cement is regulated. Removing it requires a licensed contractor, an approved work plan, protection for the workers and an authorised waste handler.
We confirm that the material contains asbestos and what condition it is in.
It is drawn up and submitted to the labour authority before the material is touched.
Dismantling without breaking the sheets, with the material protected and sealed.
Transport to an authorised waste handler with its paperwork, and the new roof installed.
Regulations
Asbestos removal is governed by Spanish Royal Decree 396/2006: a contractor entered in the corresponding register, an approved work plan and an authorised waste handler. We coordinate the whole procedure and the roof that replaces what is removed.
What gets done wrong with asbestos cement
The danger of asbestos cement is in the fibres it releases when it breaks. That is why it is not demolished, not cut and not thrown into a skip.
Without an approved work plan there is no authorisation to touch the material. It is an offence and a risk for whoever does it.
Cutting or breaking asbestos cement releases fibres. It is taken down whole, dampened and sealed.
Asbestos cement goes to an authorised waste handler, with its identification document. Not into a builders skip.
