Kitchen renovation in Donostia-San Sebastián

Two things make a kitchen. The building work and the units.

We do the building work and the services, and coordinate the fitting of the units so that everything lines up. Itemised quote and one person in charge on site. We work in Donostia, Irún and Navarra.

What goes into the renovation

The units arrive last. Everything else is decided beforehand.

In a kitchen, the water supply points, the waste pipes, the circuits and the extraction outlet have to be where the units expect them. That is why the unit layout and the building work are closed at the same time.

01
Layout

Where the sink, hob, oven and fridge go, and what that forces us to move.

02
Services

Plumbing, waste pipes, electrical circuits rated for the appliances, and the extraction outlet.

03
Building work and finishes

Strip-out, tiling or wall covering, floor, ceiling and paint.

04
Fitting the units

We coordinate with whoever supplies them so they arrive when the works can take them.

Building work and units

We coordinate your kitchen with whoever makes it.

It does not matter where you buy the units: we work from your supplier’s measurements and drawing so that the services end up where they have to be and the fitting turns up no surprises.

Before you decide

A kitchen goes wrong when the building work and the units go their separate ways.

The typical problem is neither the works nor the units: it is that nobody has made them meet on the same drawing and the same date.

01
Services in the wrong place

If the supply points are left before the unit drawing is closed, it all has to be chased out again.

02
Quotes that do not compare

One includes units and appliances and the other only the building work. Without a breakdown they cannot be compared.

03
Two suppliers, two timescales

The units have their own schedule. If it is not coordinated, the works sit and wait.

Clear responsibility

The unit drawing rules over the building work.

We start from the drawing of the units and appliances you are going to fit, and leave every supply point where that drawing asks for it. That is what stops us chasing the walls twice.

01
One single drawing

Building work and units work from the same measurements.

02
One person in charge on site

The same person talks to you and to whoever fits the kitchen.

03
Correctly rated services

The circuits are calculated for the appliances chosen, not generically.

Every home has its own services and its own extraction outlet. The scope is confirmed at the visit.

FAQs

What is worth knowing beforehand.

Every town and every building can change the answer. For a specific case, call us and we will look at it.

No, unless you specifically ask for it. Our quote covers the building work, the services and the finishes, and says so line by line. The units are usually bought separately, and we coordinate them.

Yes, as far as the waste pipes, the extraction outlet and the building’s shared services allow. At the visit we tell you what can be moved and what is expensive to move.

We do. We work from your supplier’s drawing and agree with them when they come in to fit, so the works do not wait and the fitters do not find anything half done.

Whether the layout changes, the condition of the services, the wall covering chosen and whether the extraction outlet has to be resolved. All of that is broken down in the quote.

Not in that kitchen. We talk it through at the visit and organise the work to cut down the days without it.

Yes. We work in Donostia, Irún and Navarra.
